Community up in arms over bad road

THE community has promised to block off the P 227 road to KwaMagwaza Hospital if the municipality fails to repair the potholes.

Mthonjaneni Municipality’s ward 4 Councillor Phumlani Ntombela said response from the Department of Transport was still awaited because the road falls under the jurisdiction of the provincial roads department and not the municipality.

Ntombela warned the community not to block this road because it is used by ambulances.

Buses transporting children to different schools in the ward also use the road.
