Robbers receive 15 year sentences
Two accused found guilty of a business robbery and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment
MAGISTRATE KM Shandu of the Ngwelezana Regional court recently found Bonga Fika Dlamini (44) and his co-accused Siyabonga Dube (32) of the Mevamhlophe area, guilty for business robbery and sentenced them to 15 years imprisonment respectively.
Dlamini and Dube were arrested by Empangeni SAPS Detectives late last year after they held up and robbed a local tavern, after gaining access through the roof.
Empangeni SAPS detectives, led by sergeant SH Ngwenya, followed up on information provided to them by the owner of the tavern, to whom the suspects were known as they were regular customers.
Both suspects were arrested on the same day.
