A RICHARDS Bay man was killed in a freak accident in the early hours of Sunday morning after being knocked down at a roadblock scene near Brackenham robots.
According to Richards Bay SAPS Communications Officer, Debbie Ferreira it is believed Rajesh Chinsamy (43) was a passenger in a vehicle that was stationary at the roadblock. He had exited the vehicle and was standing by the roadside when another vehicle ran him over.
Ferreira said details are still unclear at this stage but police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and an arrest has been made.
