Kiana leads swimming records race
A hat-trick of records were broken at the recent annual Felixton College Junior School inter-house gala
A HAT-TRICK of records were broken at the recent annual Felixton College Junior School inter-house gala held at the Empangeni town pool.
Junior Victrix Ludorum recipient Kiana Fernandes bettered the girls U11 4x25m individual medley record to 1.43.50 (old record 1.47.81) and the 25m breaststroke record to 21.90sec (old record 23sec), while Senior Victrix Ludorum winner Karla Morkel improving the girls U13 25m butterfly record to 19.25sec (old record 20.25sec).

The Junior Victor Ludorum prize was shared between Mfundo Mthethwa and Tiaan Coertse, with Ryan McNally securing the Senior Victor Ludorum honours.
Vulcan claimed the House Trophy for 2017 after recording 342 points, followed by Neptune on 336 points and Apollo on 328 points.
Despite finishing third, Apollo walked away with the Spirit Trophy.
