Brace yourselves, Zululanders…it’s going to be HOT tomorrow
Very hot. Baie warm. Sisha kakhulu.

FOR those who have lived in Zululand their entire lives, 35 degrees is usually a welcome break and considered a ‘mild summers day’.
But for those of us who are considered ‘imports’ from much more temperate climates, here is something you will need to know about tomorrow’s (Thursday’s) weather.
It’s going to be hot.
Very hot. Baie warm. Sisha kakhulu.
40 degrees Celsius with humidity levels that are likely to make air conditioners grind to a halt in protest.
We checked out a few different weather forecasting sites, and here’s what we found: (scroll through the photo gallery below)
Zululand is set to have an average temperature of around 37, while Richards Bay and eShowe will hit 38 and Empangeni a deadly 41.
Forecasters differ, so we think it is safe to assume that regardless of actual temperatures, it is not going to be fun to be outside tomorrow.
While we can moan and groan and make jokes about it, it’s actually a very serious warning.
Remember to stay hydrated and if possible, keep the kiddies out of the sun until late afternoon.
Heatstroke is not fun, and neither is sunburn – so buckle up folks, and ask the boss if you can wear shorts to work.
