Lizelle Marry from St Catherine's scored seven distinctions for her matric finals.

Lizelle Marry from St Catherine‘s scored seven distinctions for her matric finals, making her one of the top achievers in the King Cetshwayo District.

Lizelle, who also nabbed the DUX award for 2016, said she is uncertain of which university she will be attending.

‘I will be studying chemical engineering at either the University of KwaZulu-Natal or Stellenbosch.’

Noting that she drew inspiration from her family, friends and teachers, Lizelle said she was stressing about her results.

‘The exams were terrifying. The one thing I was most worried about was physics because I really wanted an A for it.’
