WATCH: This is why the John Ross is now closed

TRAFFIC officials have confirmed the closure of the John Ross Parkway is still in effect as smoke from a bush fire has made driving too dangerous.

Traffic is being diverted through Alton as the section between the Alumina Allee/John Ross intersection and East Central Arterial is completely obscured by thick white smoke.
