Thanda extend their unbeaten run
Every match played at the uMhlathuze Stadium has been won

GRINDING out another goalless away draw against stern opposition, Thanda Royal Zulu gained a valuable point to remain unbeaten at the top of the NFD log.
They knew the trip up north to take on ex-PSL outfit Black Leopards on Saturday would be a tough assignment and so it proved.
But that is the sign of a good team, being able to handle the pressure of pumped up opposition and hostile supporters at away venues.
After 13 games, Thanda have won eight, drawn five and lost none.
Every match played at the uMhlathuze Stadium has been won.
One can’t ask for much more than that.

At the time of going to print, the results of Sunday’s two games were still outstanding.
The match between mid-table Jomo Cosmos and bottom feeders Magesi would have no effect on the challenging positions.
However, the Royal Eagles vs Amazulu clash would determine how much of a lead at the top Thanda would take into the new week.
Should Eagles win, they would narrow the gap to four points; a draw would keep it at six; while a loss would stretch Amabhubesi’s advantage to seven points.
With just two fixtures to complete before the mid-season break, that is a healthy position for the local lions.
Thanda will look for a solid win against FC Cape Town this Sunday (11 December, kick-off 3.30pm) and at least a draw away to Stellenbosch on Saturday 17 December.
Adding to a tough, congested fixture list is a last 32 Nedbank Cup meeting this Wednesday, again against Stellenbosch.
Thanda won’t be putting too much emphasis on that one.
They have just one big goal this season: automatic promotion to the PSL.
