GRADE 7 Brackenham Primary School pupil Tiara Peters raised a whopping R20 465 for her school and was crowned Prom Queen at the school’s Prom Fund-raiser event last month.
The Representative Council of Learners (RCL) head embarked on multiple fund-raising initiatives such as selling ice-creams, holding raffles, seeking cash donations from family, friends and businesses as well as securing advertisements for the prom magazine.
Passionate about every task she sets her sights on, Peters took on the challenge to work hard in an effort to raise funds for projects the school is undertaking, such as their new multi-purpose hall.
Also a top academic achiever, model and dancer extraordinaire, the 12-year-old is ambitious in her efforts of community service, supporting charities and making a difference in the lives of others.
Tiara’s mother, Pamela thanked all her sponsors and the biggest donor Big Mac Plant for their generosity and contributions.
