Big Five MTB Series wraps up in Hluhluwe

WHILE all the top riders in the Bell Big 5 MTB Series celebrated their successes and received their trophies at the final prize giving at Hluhluwe Privaatskool, development of the sport of mountain biking in rural areas was once again on the agenda.

Leading the initiative introduced last year were Bell Equipment, the uMkhayakude District Municipality and Talisman Hire KZN.

The Department of Sport and Recreation in the Umkhanyakude Municipality promoted the sport among rural communities, while Talisman Hire offered a R10 000 incentive to the school with the best pupil participation in the Bell Big Five.

For the second year, Khetani Christian School from Ingwavuma was the winning school.
