I HAVE one simple wish.
All I want is my refuse bin back in the condition it was in and that the reckless waste removal staff are issued with directives to be more careful as these bins cost a lot of money. My complaint has fallen on deaf ears. I want some feedback asap or I am taking this higher as they have no right to treat my property in this manner.
I have witnesses that can confirm the damage they have caused.
I emailed the municipal official on 20 September and to this day no one has showed up to inspect my bin. After contacting him again recently, he told me that as the bin was more than five years old, it is the municipality’s policy that it cannot be replaced.
This is not a maintenance or wear and tear issue. The refuse removal staff rough-handled the bin and threw it to the ground causing it to crack.
It was in perfect condition before this.
