Another objective is to train the next generation of outstanding Africa scientists

THE KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for TB-HIV and Africa Centre for Population Health have joined forces to form an exciting new interdisciplinary research institute, the Africa Health Research Institute.

The newly established centre specialises in cutting-edge research work relating to HIV, TB and related diseases, seeking to improve diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

Another objective is to train the next generation of outstanding Africa scientists.

The new venture was made possible through grants from Welcome Trust and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, with the University College of London and the University of KwaZulu-Natal as significant academic partners.
