Two awards for sparkling Asande
Local model receives two accolades during the Miss SA Schools
YOUNG model Asande Khumalo (17) received two best accolades at the Miss SA School 2016 pageant in the Northern Cape over the weekend.
The vibrant Asande was honoured with the Best Personality and Director’s Choice awards after she received raving reviews from the judges.
‘The competition was tough, but I am grateful to have received these two certificates,’ she said.
This Grade 11 pupil at Mdlamfe Secondary School represented KZN at the event.
Before becoming a finalist, Asande had impressed the judging panel and outshone thousands of other hopefuls.
This lovely young woman is no stranger to the runway.
She was crowned Queen eSikhaleni first princess in June after a series of auditions.
During the pageant she made a huge impression and was approached to be the face of Jabotts International Co – a photography and modelling company.
‘I will now use this experience to continue in the modelling industry. It will also help me continue with my community work, which includes working with disabled people and orphans in the area.’
