KZN Coastal Districts victorious in SA Rurals cricket match
KZNCD will travel to Nelspruit for their next game on Saturday, 22 October when they take on Mpumalanga
KZN COASTAL Districts (KZNCD) cruised to a 72 run victory over Northern Cape in a South African Rural cricket match played at Addison Park on Saturday.
The visitors won the toss and elected to take to the field first.
KZNCD reached 152 before being dismissed in the 44th over, thanks to contributions from Simon Savides (38) and Zakhile Ntuli (29).
Jonathan Visagie was in a bowling class of his own, when he ended with figures of 5/15 in 10 (economy of 1.5 runs per over).
Northern Cape was never in the game, when the score board read 12/1,12/2 and later 30/7.
But a firm stand of 23 not out off 67 balls by Roger Isaacs aided his team’s total to 70/9, before the loss of the final wicket in the 35th over.
Neill Jordan’s 3/6 in 6 and Philani Cuambe 2/11 in 5 were the main reason for the visitors collapse at 80 all out.
KZNCD will travel to Nelspruit for their next game on Saturday, 22 October when they take on Mpumalanga.
