Thirteen injured, two dead in two road crashes

The causes of both crashes are still under investigation.

AT least 13 people were injured and two died in collisions on Zululand roads on Thursday.

On Thursday afternoon on the N2 near Bridge E just before Mtunzini, nine people were injured, two of them seriously, when a police vehicle collided head-on with a private car.

On the R618 near Somkhele Mine in Mtubatuba, two people died and a further four were injured in a collision involving two cars.

‘The injured patients were treated by KZN EMS and other paramedics before being taken to hospital,’ said KZN EMS spokesman, Robert McKenzie.

The causes of both crashes are still under investigation.
