A KWAMSANE detective on Monday arrested five men for housebreaking and theft.
According to a police report, Detective Khayelihle Buthelezi received information on a suspect he was seeking in connection with a theft and housebreaking case.
Acting on this lead, he managed to arrest the suspect in possession of the stolen property.
Buthelezi then received additional information which culminated in the arrests of a further four suspects, also in connection with housebreaking cases in the KwaMsane area.
Among other items, 5 plasma and LED/LCD television sets were also seized.
The suspects who are between the ages of 17 and 31 are expected to appear in court this week.
