Prayers for rain answered

The service praised God for the rain, which poured down throughout the service and into the night

A LARGE crowd packed into the dining room at Shakaland for the ‘prayer for rain‘ service held on Sunday afternoon.

Although planned to be held on the shores of the Goedertrouw Dam, the meeting was moved to the hotel as the road to the dam became impassable due to heavy rains.

Event co-ordinator Andrew Anderson said they were grateful that Shakaland opened their doors to them.

The service praised God for the rain, which poured down throughout the service and into the night.

The Goedertrouw Dam is around 17.8% and is in need of much more rain, but the 38mm which fell in eShowe and Melmoth over the weekend will surely increase this level over the next few days.
