RICHARDS Bay SPCA has taken another hard knock after their offices were burgled in the early hours of Thursday morning.
In the midst of a financial crisis, the animal welfare organisation was plunged into further distress as criminals fled with a computer, which was donated by a community member after the last burglary incident last October.
According to animal inspector Shelly Prinsloo two suspects forced the office door open and fled with their computer as well as their storage room keys.
‘We have footage of the incident on our CCTV cameras and our alarm did go off, unfortunately they escaped before the security company officers arrived.
‘The glass door was shattered and we will also have to replace the locks on our storage rooms too.
‘We are facing such financial difficulties and this incident has placed us under more unnecessary pressure,’ said Prinsloo.
