ANGRY members of the Mzingazi community burnt down the shack of a sangoma who they say became ‘a zombie’ after his own voodoo spell apparently boomeranged on him.
The sangoma, who reportedly regularly sacrifices chickens in the river, is accused of trying to place a spell on a woman, but the community say because her spiritual protection proved stronger, his curse made a u-turn and zapped him instead.
On Monday night, Mzingazi CPF Chairperson Sharon Mdlethshe was called out to the homestead where the sangoma was found wandering around half-naked and behaving erratically.
