LOCAL angler Mervin Chetty was crowned RBM Fishing Club champion at the 5th annual awards function held last week.
Thamen Govender finished in second place, with Dennis Bantjes in third spot.
Govender also won the lucky draw prize for participating in 80% of all competitions held during the past season and walked away with a R1 000 gift voucher.
The club would like to thank all its members for their support over the past season.
The new season starts on Saturday at Nhlabane.
