EHS and Bay rule the roost
Local schools dominate at the annual St Catherine's Saint Soccer Challenge
RICHARDS Bay High School (RBHS) and Empangeni High (EHS) dominated the annual St Catherine’s Saint Soccer Challenge on Saturday as both schools’ first boys and girls sides met in the finals of the popular competition.
In the boys section, EHS pulled one over their Bay rivals, bagging a 1-0 win.
Matters were reversed in the girls final, with RBHS scraping through after beating EHS in a penalty shoot-out after a goalless draw.
Eight schools competed – EHS, eShowe, Felixton College, Grantleigh Schools, John Ross Colege, RBHS, Richem Secondary and St Catherine’s.
