Robbers attack Mbazwana couple

They fled the scene in the stolen vehicles

A MAN and his wife preparing to leave their home at 8pm on Tuesday night in Mbazwana, were suddenly confronted by eight gun-wielding men.

The suspects assaulted Clement Mathenjwa (40) and demanded cash, cellphones and the car keys to the couple’s blue Toyota Etios and white Nissan Hardbody, with registration numbers NIN 5196 and NIN 5072 respectively.

After tying up the victims, the robbers also took their television set, laptop and printer.

They fled the scene in the stolen vehicles.

The Manguzi police opened cases of house robbery and assault with grievous bodily harm.
