Kwambo police women celebrate femininity
The ladies sang, danced, rejoiced, motivated each other and had a fun time

AS the rest of the country honours and worships women, the KwaMbonambi SAPS ladies in blue also decided to be part of the festivities, and celebrated Women’s Month in style.
Music, good food and laughter flowed when the women gathered at Meet Mekaar Resorts, Umfolozi on Friday to be counted among the flowers of the nation.
Taking a break from perusing mounds of crime dockets, revolvers and running after criminals forgotten, the ladies sang, danced, rejoiced, motivated each other and had a fun time, reminding themselves of the importance mothers are in each and every community.
Words of wisdom, scripture reading and discussing their daily challenges, the ladies of the law were transformed into graceful, stylish women as the rest of the Imbokodo is doing this month, throughout the country.
‘We celebrate this day to remind ourselves of our youthfulness. The fibre and backbone of our dedication and resolve to keep protecting our communities, with drive and passion,’ said Sgt ND Mkhize.
‘As mothers we care, provide, protect, serve, feed, give life and raise the future leaders and providers of the nation,’ Mkhize added.
‘No matter how difficult life situations may be sometimes, as women we always persevere to keep the fires burning,’ said programme director Const NR Nxumalo.
The day culminated in the cutting of a big SAPS logo decorated cake, and the ladies giving each other little gift packs.
