GRANTLEIGH Schools‘ Keagan Smith and Jarod Waldapfel represented the U17 KZN Invitational soccer team at the U13/U17 SA Schools Inter-Provincial Championships held in Durban over the weekend.
The championships served as a platform to select U13 and U17 boys and girls national youth teams.
The Grantleigh duo were invited to five rounds of gruelling trials in New Germany and attended a training session with former Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker.
They also attended a three-day training camp and competed in the Winter Games tournament.
Nine provinces participated.
