Women law enforcers show some muscle

The purpose of the initiative was to prove that women are as capable as men to the the job

ALL entrances and exits in the vicinity of Mtubatuba and the N2 were blocked on Friday and Saturday for vehicle stop-and-search exercises – all manned only by female officials.

The purpose of the initiative was to prove that women are as capable as men to the the job.

Law enforcer officers from RTI, the National Defence Force, EMRS, the liquor board, SAPS and immigration officers from throughout the district came out in full force.

More than 450 vehicles were stopped and 155 charges issued relating mainly to unroadworthy vehicles and unlicenced vehicles and drivers.

After a hard day’s work, the ladies of the law let their hair down with a fun-filled braai evening at Meet Mekaar Resorts at Umfolozi.
