Suspects caught with dagga

The police noticed a vehicle with two occupants who acted suspiciously

CONDUCTING routine patrols between Vryheid and Pongola to intercept hijacked vehicles heading for the border, Louwsburg police pounced on two dagga smugglers instead.

While patrolling, the police noticed a vehicle with two occupants who acted suspiciously.

They stopped the car for a search and discovered 15 bags of dagga with a street value of R500 000.

The two suspects were arrested and they appeared at the Louwsburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The case was remanded until 24 August for bail applications.
