Dice4DICE hits the million mark

'2016 has been a tough year, especially for businesses, but we did it!'

FOR the fifth year in a row the organisers of Dice4DICE event put on a spectacular show for Zululand’s car enthusiasts – and banked a bundle for charity.

Saturday’s parade was smooth rolling as a large number of exclusive cars made stopovers at the Boardwalk Inkwazi and the Zululand Observer office in Empangeni, before heading to the Umfolozi Casino where all the action took place.

Many Zululanders had the opportunity to take a selfie with a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche.

The evening’s auction, held in the Casino Dome, saw the owners of the fast cars again sticking hands deep into their pockets for the under-privileged.

With proceeds going to the ZO’s charity arm, DICE (Do I Care Enough?), Dice4DICE number five pushed the overall amount raised to well over one million Rand since the event first happened in 2012.

In his speech organiser Zahid Hassim thanked all the car owners and businesses for making the event such a big success.

‘2016 has been a tough year, especially for businesses, but we did it!’ said an emotional Zahid.

‘Thank you everybody for helping to make Dice4DICE the largest charity motoring event in Zululand’.
