Race on for darts play-off qualification

All teams interested in signing up for the new league have until Wednesday, 24 August to do so.

WITH just one round left before the semi-finals of the Empangeni Darts Sports League, some teams will be playing solely for pride, whilst Umoya and Undertakers will battle it out for the last spot among the top four.

As things currently stand, Bangin The Neighbours will play Empangeni Rugby Club (ERC) at ERC in the first semi-final, with Hullets hosting Undertakers or Umoya in the second semi-final on Wednesday 10 August.

Last week’s round was mainly one sided, with ERC demolishing Umoya 6-0 at ERC, Hullets following suit by hammering Rhinos 6-0 at Hullets and Bangin The Neighbours claiming a 6-3 win over Undertakers at Umoya Lounge.

Teams competed in cricket, nomination killer and 501 games.

The last round of fixtures to be played on Wednesday evening are as follows: Rhinos vs ERC at ERC, Undertakers vs Umoya at Empangeni Moth Hall and Bangin The Neighbours vs Hullets at Umoya Lounge.

The finals will be played on Wednesday, 17 August, after which the players will take a few days’ break before the start of the new league on Wednesday, 31 August.

All teams interested in signing up for the new league have until Wednesday, 24 August to do so.
