Taxi awards ready to roll
The countdown has begun for the Regional Taxi Awards - vote for your favourite.
WITH the regional taxi awards function set to take place next month, a road show to attract public participation was held at all major taxi ranks around the region last week.
The purpose was to offer information to passengers and encourage them to vote for their favourite driver, taxi rank, marshal and association.
Spearheaded by the North Coast Group (NCG), the awards will include 16 associations in the region.
Instructions on the voting process will be placed in all taxis and at ranks in the area.
This programme is part of the South African Road Safety campaign.
The awards function will be held at the uMfolozi Casino Resort in Empangeni on Sunday, 14 August.
