Richards Bay rugby team chase promotion
The Bay squad have proven their worth and shown that they are ready to compete with the best, having beaten the Rhinos team earlier this year in a pre-season friendly and only losing two games in the First Division season.
RICHARDS Bay have had a phenomenal rugby season thus far, having recently clinched the Fidelity Security South Section First Division title under coach Trevor Montgomery.
The Bay squad have proven their worth and shown that they are ready to compete with the best, having beaten the Rhinos team earlier this year in a pre-season friendly and only losing two games in the First Division season.
Today (Saturday) the local lads will be tested once more, when they take on Fidelity Security First Division North Section winners Vryheid at home in the Dewar Shield finals.
If Richards Bay wins, then they are the overall First Division champions for 2016 and can challenge the last placed team in the Premier League for promotion.
This is what the local club has been dreaming of for many seasons, having just fallen short of reaching their goal in 2013 and 2014.
The club encourages the public to please come out and get behind the boys who are chasing their promotion dream once again.
