Heath crowned as 21 Species winner
Anglers from all over the country made the trip to Zululand to chase the big catches.

LOCAL deep sea angler Gary Heath was crowned the 2016 champion at the annual 21 Species Fishing Festival hosted by the Meerensee Boat Club over the weekend.
Heath landed a 9.3kg Snoek which gave him the title and bragging rights for 2016.
Anglers from all over the country made the trip to the local club to support the popular event.
With weather conditions not playing their part, fish where hard to come by and only a handful of decent fish were weighed.
But despite this, competitors had fun and made the most out of the weekend.
‘This competition would not have been possible without all the sponsors who climbed on board, my amazing organising committee and the participants.
‘We are focused on family, the love of the sport and camaraderie,’ said Meerensee Boat Club Commodore, Corné Kleinsmidt.
Carla Visagie was crowned Miss 21 Species for 2016 after a well organised modelling competition.
Arno Stander (aged 9) was the overall shore competition winner, Dean Moore the junior boys deep sea winner and Kobie Geringer the ladies deep sea winner.
Anglers were spoiled all weekend with free giveaways, spot prizes and phenomenal prizes at prize giving.
