Roundtable knights take the fairway

Jaco Viviers and Apie Hughes claimed victory at the Round Table 261 golf day at the Richards Bay Country Club

A TOTAL of 90 knights of the round table drew clubs on Saturday to participate in an 18 hole bout at the Round Table 261 golf day at the Richards Bay Country Club.

Players conformed to a Four Ball Better Ball Stableford format which resulted in high scores being shot.

Great weather conditions and a well kept course with medium greens benefited all the competitors.

But it was Sir Jaco Viviers and Sir Apie Hughes who claimed the golf crown after winning the day with 51 points.

2 Clive Watson and Rodney Cheek 38 points

3 Shaun Pirie and Carl Klinvgenburg 35 points

Nearest to pin – Bruce Sloyle (8th) and Willie Petzer (17th)

Longest drive on the 18th – John Smith (men) and Mrs Lourens (ladies)
