Charity begins at home for Mtubatuba teen model
Christian truly believes in helping to uplift others in his community
AFTER being crowned First Prince in the recent Mr Dolosfees competition, Mtubatuba teen Bhekabasembo Christian Mkhize is on his way up the entertainment industry ladder.
But he always remembers the ‘little people’ and this month organised numerous events for local crèches and primary schools.
Christian chose to spend Youth Month organising talent show events such as Mr and Miss Personality 2016 and visiting crèches and primary schools to help out where possible.
The children of Masicathule Crèche in KwaMsane loved their gifts of Ripleys Believe It or Not colouring-in books, puzzles, pens and charts that include images of the Ripleys South African tour.
‘I am going to visit these children again as they don’t have enough toys to play with or space to enjoy themselves,’ said Christian.
He also plans to help out with the Soul Buddyz club and Girl Guides at Nqiwaneni Primary School.
‘I want to give back to my home town and my former school, and also to encourage the youth of today who, like me, want to be in the entertainment industry.’
Christian’s crowning as First Prince at Mr Dolosfees secured him a spot at the Mini Mr RSA, to be held in the Freestate in October.
