Jumping to new heights
Zululand riders competed in the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) Nationals
ZULULAND riders recently competed in the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) Nationals at Kyalami Equestrian Park in Johannesburg.
Close to 1000 horses and riders competed in the prestigious event.
The riders from Zululand represented the KZN Schools team and achieved top results, acquitting themselves very well.
Kelly Ervine and her horse Silver Diamond placed second in the level 4 (80cm) Primary Schools Show Jumping category, whilst Jamie Lee McGregor and horse Hounding Rhythm placed third in the level 3 (90cm) High Schools Show Jumping category.
Results
Kelly Ervine – competed in the level 2 (class 36) working hunter and level 3 (class 9) eventing, placed second in level 4 (class 40) in show jumping
Jamie Lee McGregor – competed in level 3 (class 36) working riding, level 3 (class 21) dressage, placed third in level 3 (class 53) show jumping, placed fourth in level 3 (class 12) eventing, fifth in the level 4 (class 36) equitation and sixth in the level 3 (class 53) show jumping.
Bryan de Kock – competed in level 1 (class 14) discipline.
Sumaiya Varachia – competed in level 2 (class 40) equitation, level 1 (class 57) show jumping, level 1 (class 54) show jumping, level 2 (class 50) dressage and level 2 (class 27) eventing.
Serryn Stickley – competed in level 1 (class 54) show jumping and level 1 (class 12) eventing, placed 7th in level 2 (class 40) equitation and 8th in level 1 (class 57) show jumping.
Muhammad Varachia – competed in level 2 (class 45) equitation, level 3 (class 36) working riding, level 2 (class 53) show jumping and level 3 (class 49) show jumping.
Marne Prins – competed in level 1 (class 55) working riding event and level 4 (class 9) pri caprelli event
Liesl Steenkamp – competed in the level 2 (class 52 and 55) dressage event
