Shocked at youth leader’s lavish lifestyle

For us poor masses, this does nothing but leave a bitter taste in our dry, hungry mouths.

SOUTH Africans woke up on Tuesday morning with the shocking news: the R5,4-million house the ANCYL President Collen Maine lives in, in Collingwood, a posh golf estate in upmarket Johannesburg.

The reports further say Maine bought the house only six months after he was elected ANC Youth League President, after he apparently had been living in the same house since 2012.

It is further alleged the house is financed by the Bank of India, further fueling suspicions the notorious Gupta family might have something to do with his acquiring this mansion.

It is assumed Maine pays a bond of R140 000 monthly, which the reports allege is way beyond his salary as the Youth League President.

For us poor masses, this does nothing but leave a bitter taste in our dry, hungry mouths.

It is sad to think, as we slowly but surely approach the upcoming local government elections, these very same politicians have already begun going from door-to-door, imploring the poor masses to vote for them, but when the polls are done and dusted, those very same poor people are forgotten.

Maybe it’s now about time for people to wake up and smell the coffee.

This political party we used to love so much has become nothing but enrichment machinery for the ‘chosen’ ANC few!
