THE circumstances surrounding the shooting of a security officer stationed at a residential complex in Richards Bay last Saturday morning remain a mystery.
According to reports, policemen attended to the scene at Loerie Park where they found a 27-year-old had been shot in the face and chest.
It is believed the security officers were conducting patrols inside the complex when they heard the gunshots at about 5am and discovered their colleague has been shot.
At this stage there are no witnesses and police are appealing to residents who have any information to contact Sgt SB Buthelezi on 072 5733180.
