RICHARDS Bay martial arts student, Tasha Madura of Richards Bay Stingers Taekwondo Club is a force to be reckoned with and is continually mastering her skills.
Graded to 2nd Dan in July last year, the dynamic and vibrant 17-year-old has taken a break from competing competitively as she focuses on her final year of high school and prepares for her university entrance.
The Birdswood Academy pupil started Taekwondo at the age of five, following in the footsteps of her father, Bruce who is a Taekwondo instructor.
Bruce said he introduced Tasha to the sport because he wanted her to learn how to protect herself and with her natural talent, speed and energy she excelled.
She won the national Taikwondo Championships from 2006 to 2014 and won the Africa Cup in 2012.
Tasha is a sporty personality and also enjoys hockey, soccer and athletics.
Enjoying spending time with her mother, Tasha can be found in the kitchen, cooking up a storm or creating some baked sweet treats.
