Mkhulisi condemns facebook branches

ANC Musa Dladla Region Chairperson Nonhle Mkhulisi has called for unity in honour of a fallen activist Bongani Manyoni.

Speaking at Manyoni’s memorial service held last week at the Empangeni Civic Centre, Mkhulisi appealed to all the structures of the ANC and its alliance partners to remember Manyoni by preaching unity.

Mkhulisi described Manyoni as a friend and confidante and said the region was robbed of one of its outstanding cadres, an intellectual produced by the struggle for a just and equitable society.

‘We feel the pain of losing this trade unionist, the third member of this REC to have passed away during the current term of office after Thulani Mashaba and Lamagugu Mfeka,’ she said.

ANC Youth League Regional Chairperson Philani Elvis ‘Sxaka’ Mthethwa described Manyoni as a quality leader who was disciplined and principled.

Manyoni (43) passed away on 6 April after suffering from a heart attack. At a time of his death he was the Office Manager of the uThungulu Deputy Mayor.

He served as ANC REC member since 2011. He was a former NUM regional Secretary.

He is survived by his wife Phumzile and four children.
