Principal charged with R5-million fraud

The former principal of a top Durban high school appeared in court this morning on charges of stealing school funds.

Trevor Kershaw‚ who earlier this year retired as principal of Glenwood High School‚ appeared in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court today on charges of fraud.

Kershaw is said to have embezzled R5-million worth of school funds over a five-year period.

He was granted R100 000 bail. His bail conditions include; handing over his passports as he holds dual South African and British citizenship, as well as reporting to the Westville Police Station twice a week.

He will next appear in court on 21 June.
