Mayor heads road safety awareness
uMlalazi Municipality spearheads a road safety campaign
UMLALAZI Municipality Mayor Cllr Thelumoya Zulu engaged on a road safety awareness campaign in eShowe over the school holidays.
Assisted by municipal managers and employees, road safety flyers were distributed to motorists on the R66 highway.
The campaign was to ensure drivers reach their holiday destinations safely and Zulu cautioned drivers to wear seat belts, not to consume alcohol and to obey road signs.
‘In town, drivers must learn to slow down to save lives. Speeding affects lives and we must take extra cautions to prevent these unnecessary tragedies,’ said Zulu.
