Bikers paint the crown red

Brilliant Cansa support from bikers

THANKS to a wonderful response from the biker community, Saturday morning’s CANSA Shavathon in Richards Bay raised more than R15 000.

CANSA uThungulu Community Mobiliser Lizelle van Zyl and Sr Sane Mahlangu were thrilled as bikers from eight clubs revved their way to Stallions in Meerensee to shave, cut and colour their hair for the worthy cause.

‘A million thanks go to Jaco Koortzen for sponsoring the venue and food, as well as those who donated prizes, gifts and food, and to Marissa Jones for the entertainment,’ said Lizelle.

‘And, of course, we are most grateful to organiser Blackie Swart and the bikers who not only gave tremendous support, but also added a terrific party atmosphere.

‘The amount raised will enable is to continue to roll out our dedicated services to the community.’

Biker clubs represented included Bikerholics, No Rules, Reno Vatio, Warthogs, Ratels, Invictus Vector, Undaunted and Iron Eagles.
