THERE was a feast of tries this weekend at the 10th Annual Felixton College Rugby Festival as some of the best young rugby talent assembled to do battle.
Eight schools participated in hotly contested matches – Beaulieu College, Clifton College, Howick High School, Richards Bay High School, John Ross College, Uplands College and the hosts, Felixton College.
Felixton dominated the scoreboards, beating Beaulieu 19-0, Uplands 15-0 and Howick by 12-3 in an exciting finals match.
The Best Sportsmanship Trophy went to Clifton College, who made the trip to honour their committment to the tournament despite only being able to field 13 players.
Felixton College supplemented two players to make up the full team, which was affectionately dubbed ‘Flifton’.
Each coach selected their own best forward and backline player, who each received a miniature trophy.
