ESHOWE Rugby Club hosted the 70th Flya Sportswear Bozas Cup on Saturday which saw 14 teams take to the field to play club rugby at its best.
Two teams won silverware for the first time.
Sentraal, from Dundee, took the Bozas Cup after a hard-fought final against Hluhluwe which was played in a light drizzle, making the ball difficult to handle.
The ever-popular Green Bottle Ballies won some silverware for the first time when they won the Paul Nunan Bowl.
The Bezuidenhout Plate was won by last year’s Cup winners, eSikhaleni.
Sentraal scooped the individual prizes with Charles Dube winning the trophy for the best backline player and Henk Booysen the trophy for the best forward.
Magnis Oosthuizen was named the referee of the day.
While the Bozas Cup was being played on the main field, the juniors had their own tournament followed by a coaching clinic led by Ian McIntosh as part of The Rugby Legends squad.
