UPDATE: Strauss murder trial to go to High Court
Both men went before the KwaMbonambi Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where their case was postponed for a High Court date to be set.
SUSPECTS in the brutal double murder of KwaMbonambi couple David and Ann Strauss in January this year will soon appear in High Court.
Both men went before the KwaMbonambi Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where their case was postponed for a High Court date to be set.
They were remanded into custody.
The Strauss couple were found dead in their home after they were attacked in the late afternoon of Sunday, 17 January.
One of the men was wanted by police in unrelated crimes at the time and fled when police closed in.
His accomplice was arrested and then led police to the Strauss home, where the gruesome discovery was made.
The men attacked the couple, stabbing both multiple times before looting their home and fleeing in David’s blue Nissan Almeira.
Family did not wish to comment at this time.
