Vandalism at bikers church deplorable

Several incidents of vandalism have occurred over the last year at the local biker's church in Richards Bay.

THREE incidents of vandalism have occurred over the last year at the local biker’s church in Richards Bay.

Last year one of our members made a wooden cross that we planted at the ‘Big Tree’ where we as bikers get together for a Sunday morning service with Paster Allan from Shabach Biker Church.

The first incident of vandalism saw the cross being planted upside down.

We then corrected it and cemented it to the ground.

Again it was vandalised and broken in two.

Early this year one of our biker brothers decided to construct a cross out of heavy steel, which was again cemented to the ground.

We also added a memorial stone with our biker prayer, but vandals struck again sometime between Sunday, 21 February and Thursday, 25 February.

This is unacceptable from our point of view.

We as bikers do not make any noise there on Sundays, nor do we party there.

We support most charities in our areas and if anyone has a problem with us having our service there, they are welcome to approach us.

We would appreciate it if anyone out there with any information in connection with this matter could report back to us on 082 6644763.
