EMPANGENI Hockey Club has started with their practices ahead of the 2016 season at Addison Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm.
The club, which competes in the Zululand Club Hockey League, is aiming to win both the men’s and women’s leagues this year.
But they will have to beat Richards Bay, University of Zululand, Vets and Kadenza to claim the respective titles and bragging rights.
All league matches will be competed on the astroturf at Grantleigh Schools this season.
The club will be holding their AGM tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at the club house at 6pm.
All members and players are urged to attend.
Empangeni will play pre-season friendlies on Saturday, 5 March at Grantleigh Schools, before the league starts on Sunday, 13 March.
