WE are witnessing the biggest story of our times, but you won’t be reading about that in the mainstream Western press.

For what is unfolding is the demise of Europe as we know it.

Not today, not tomorrow, but certainly in the lifetime of my children.

Okay, all things come to an end, from the Roman Empire to the Berlin Wall. But what we are seeing is unique in that this will be the first time that a civilisation willingly – perhaps even deliberately – self-implodes.

I am not going to argue the merits or otherwise of this, although for people like me who enjoy drinking beer, believe in women as equals and that gender preference is a personal matter, I quite like the Western way of life.

But as I say, those arguments don’t cut ice with today’s effete liberals who see the West as the root of evil and that we must atone for our sins.

So instead of arguments, I am offering statistics. The future belongs to those who turn up, and the hedonistic West is literally ‘un-breeding’ itself out of existence.

The replacement fertility rate of any nation is 2.1 babies per woman. Any more and the population expands exponentially; any less and it goes over the cliff.

The most fertile nation in the world is a failed state: Somalia, which has almost seven children per woman. Okay, some of those may get shot out, but even so, they are breeding at more than triple the replacement rate.

The next most fertile country is Niger at 6.83 babies, followed by Afghanistan at 6.78 and Yemen at 6.75.

Immigration boosts

America is the only First World country above the replacement rate at 2.7 kids per woman, although that’s largely due to mass immigration, mainly from Latin America.

In England, fertility is just below replacement at 1.89, also boosted by immigration.

Indeed, Leicester is poised to become the first English city to have an Asian majority, followed by Birmingham perhaps within a decade.

Birmingham is the UK’s second largest city, and even in the largest, London, more babies are born to foreigners or first generation immigrants than to native Brits. Among London’s babies, the name Mahomed is as common as Jack.

Otherwise, Ireland’s fertility is 1.87, New Zealand 1.79, Australia 1.76, Canada 1.5, Germany and Austria 1.3, Russia and Italy 1.2 and Spain 1.1.

In other words, Spain’s population of 47.1-million is halving every generation. Paella will no longer be a dish for two.

That’s the picture of modern Europe without external influences.

Now open today’s newspapers. Headlines will – in the UK anyway – be something to do with the three million or so migrants from the Middle East and North Africa about to enter Europe.

Most claim to be fleeing the Syrian war, but even the most bleeding heart European bureaucrat is stumped as to why so many can’t even name Damascus as the capital city of the country.

Also, this is the first time ever that ‘refugees’ are almost all young, fit, healthy men. Historically, refugees are emaciated women and children while men of fighting age stay behind to defend their homeland.

Germany has already taken in one million ‘refugees’. This may not seem exorbitant in a population of 80 million, but that’s smoke and mirrors. In the same demographic as the ‘refugees’ – young males – Germany has fewer than five million.

Angela Merkel, Germany’s leader, is planning to bring in another 1.1 million, which means she will be importing the equivalent of 40% of Germany’s existing young men.

These two million-plus ‘refugees’ will on average bring in another five family members each from their native lands, adding up to another 10 million people.

You can argue that this has to be done on humanitarian grounds, but you can hardly argue that the host populations will not be replaced in the process.

I said earlier that this is the story of our times, and while newspapers are reporting on the mass migration of ‘refugees’, they are strangely silent on the consequences.

As they say in America – you do the ‘math’.
