KWAMBONAMBI resident, Thuthukani Manqele is still on cloud nine after being a guest last week on the popular East Coast Radio’s talk show, Trending Tonight.
Manqele who is a regular listener of the show was invited to tour the studio last Tuesday to go behind the scenes and mingle with the radio presenters.
The talk show features the day’s trends from news to entertainment and hot videos with listeners calling in to share their opinions.
‘I have always had a love for the radio platform and enjoy music too.
‘I tried my luck at singing and attended the 2013 Idols auditions in Durban.
‘The judges told me I’m not a singer and I took their advice and gave up on my singing career and decided to focus on my dream of becoming a radio presenter.
Manqele said he has approached local community radio stations with his demos and he is committed to achieving his big break in the industry.
