Business empowers disadvantage pupils

23 disadvantaged children received full school uniform in eSikhaleni on Monday

TWENTY three pupils benefited during the Uniform Programme at eSikhaleni on Monday.

The community programme was spearheaded by Sopranos Lounge management, as part of their community upliftment project.

‘When children are at school they have to feel the same, and that’s what we trying to do. It is important that they all feel equal. Disadvantaged pupils sometimes don’t like to attend school because they are teased because of their lack of uniform.

‘With this project, we want to give them a reason to love school and to perform at their best without any worries,’ said Sopranos’ founder, Thoba Zondi.

Full packs included two shirts, trousers or skirts, socks and shoes.

The programme supported pupils at Mkhobosa Primary, Gobandlovu Primary, Engalangala Primary, Exhaphozini Primary, Amandosi Primary and Ilembe Primary schools.
