UPDATE: Slain Nyoni policemen identified
Police have confirmed the identities of the policemen who died in hospital last night
POLICEMEN killed during a shootout with escaping prisoners inside the holding cells of the Nyoni SAPS station yesterday afternoon have been identified.
Warrant Officers Siza Nyandeni (56) and Bhekinkosi Gumede (48) succumbed to their injuries last night while in hospital.
Both have been living and working in the Nyoni area for a number of years.
